| Back to the Basics...
I bring greetings to you, in the name of the Lord. My prayer for you at this time is very simple, that you may know eternal life-come to the knowledge of the one and only true God and Jesus Christ whom he sent (John 17:3). May God continue to bless and have mercy upon you. Jesus is returning soon and we have to be prepared. Pay attention to these times, I urge you not to slumber and sleep because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed (Romans 13:11).
Dottie Wilson Ministries, Inc. has a basic mission. Basic in the fact that we all have the same mission communicated to us by Jesus. Yes, it is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20). Sometimes you will have to meet the physical needs (the basics) of people before delivering the gospel. Your actions testify of the gospel before your words. In these cases, you are being a witness of Jesus Christ from start to finish. At all cost, we must live the Great Commission daily. Glory to God, we will feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and provide shelter for the homeless. However, this is only one part of what we have been called to do. As believers in Christ, we must recognize the spiritual and physical needs in making disciples of others. The gospel has to reach every one in hope that they come to know our hope in Jesus.
Presently, the body of Christ has to go "back to the basics" before we can baptize new believers and teach them to obey what the Lord has commanded us. Our nation came under attack on September 11, 2001, which is a warning and reiterates the fact God's people are not living as we have been commanded. The sword will come upon this land unless we repent and yield ourselves to God - humble ourselves, pray, seek his face, and turn from our wicked ways (II Chronicles 7:14). Take some time and meditate on I Chronicles 10:1-13 and learn from Israel's history. It is not too late but we must act this very minute. I use the acronym P.R.A.Y. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in:
- Praising - Repenting - Asking - Yielding
We can start by understanding the law of God. I am calling you to action! Read and meditate on Exodus 19:4-6. Afterwards, read, study, put upon your heart, and live the first Commandment of God (Exodus 20:1-3). |
