Special Interest Stories

When Nehemiah heard from God and answered the call, one unique thing about this story is that...many others had been around and had not answered the call. Will you? Many of you were touched by Dottie during her lifetime. She did nothing in vain. If she poured into you it was for a reason...a purpose. Don't let that seed die. Like Sanballet and Tobiah there may be those that stand in your way from doing what God called you to do, but press on and press in.

The road to Success is not straight. There is a curve called failure, a loop called confusion, speed bumps called friends, caution lights called family, and you will have flats called jobs. But..if you have a spare called determination and an engine called perseverance, insurance called faith and a driver called Jesus you will make it to a place called success.

Reaching Out and Blessing Others

Throughout this year our ministry has continued to provide food through our Angel Food Ministries project, clothing, and financial assistance to a large variety of families in need. Each year we give food baskets during Thanksgiving and Christmas to many families in the Frederick area. This is what ministry is all about...helping people! Our job as believers is to do according to John 25:35-36 "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me water to drink. I was a stranger and you took me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."

Dottie Wilson Ministries is about helping and making a difference in the lives of people around us. We are actively ministering throughout Frederick and surrounding counties and this year, began supporting children at an orphanage in Haiti.
It is such an awesome blessing to see God's hand upon this ministry. To God be all the glory! In a day and age when churches and ministries are receiving so much bad publicity, it is a testimony to the unbeliever that God's people are hard at work. Take time this year to pray about how the Lord would have you work with us to change lives. We are always looking for individuals, churches, and organizations to partner with us. You can give monetary donations, non-perishable items, or volunteer your time at future events.

In His Service,
Dottie Wilson Ministries

Back to the Basics...

I bring greetings to you, in the name of the Lord. My prayer for you at this time is very simple, that you may know eternal life-come to the knowledge of the one and only true God and Jesus Christ whom he sent (John 17:3). May God continue to bless and have mercy upon you. Jesus is returning soon and we have to be prepared. Pay attention to these times, I urge you not to slumber and sleep because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed (Romans 13:11).

Dottie Wilson Ministries, Inc. has a basic mission. Basic in the fact that we all have the same mission communicated to us by Jesus. Yes, it is the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20). Sometimes you will have to meet the physical needs (the basics) of people before delivering the gospel. Your actions testify of the gospel before your words. In these cases, you are being a witness of Jesus Christ from start to finish. At all cost, we must live the Great Commission daily. Glory to God, we will feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and provide shelter for the homeless. However, this is only one part of what we have been called to do. As believers in Christ, we must recognize the spiritual and physical needs in making disciples of others. The gospel has to reach every one in hope that they come to know our hope in Jesus.

Presently, the body of Christ has to go "back to the basics" before we can baptize new believers and teach them to obey what the Lord has commanded us. Our nation came under attack on September 11, 2001, which is a warning and reiterates the fact God's people are not living as we have been commanded. The sword will come upon this land unless we repent and yield ourselves to God - humble ourselves, pray, seek his face, and turn from our wicked ways (II Chronicles 7:14). Take some time and meditate on I Chronicles 10:1-13 and learn from Israel's history. It is not too late but we must act this very minute. I use the acronym P.R.A.Y. Let the Holy Spirit guide you in:

- Praising
- Repenting
- Asking
- Yielding

We can start by understanding the law of God. I am calling you to action! Read and meditate on Exodus 19:4-6. Afterwards, read, study, put upon your heart, and live the first Commandment of God (Exodus 20:1-3).
