Welcome to Dottie Wilson Ministries - About Us

Dottie Wilson Ministries, Inc. is an Evangelistic Outreach to young women and organization designed to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, and help to heal the brokenhearted.

We are living in a time where people are filled with hurt, fear and have many needs. God had given Sister Dottie a vision of a home that will be established in Frederick. This home will become a safe haven for young girls and women who are abused or pregnant and need support, as well as those who may be temporarily displaced for financial reasons. The Ministries goal is to work toward meeting the physical, emotional, and material needs of women in our community; as well as encourage their spiritual development. We will accomplish this through the establishment of a transitional home for women in need.

We will continue fostering activities to achieve these goals. We are able to provide food to the community through our Angel Food Ministries food distribution program. We work with other organizations such as Hands of Love, to provide furniture and appliances to families in need. Clothing is provided to families through our quarterly clothing drive. Additionally, teaching and training are provided to individuals to help them move from a place of dependency to a place of independence.

All these things will be accomplished through funds received from speaking engagements, fundraising drives, and grants. We also depend on faithful partners who believe in this ministry; partners who will make a commitment to contribute and support this ministry on a monthly basis, both financially and with their time and talent, for the benefit of meeting the needs of the people in our community.

To foster this philosophy, we believe that the following goals should be established:

  • To identify and develop programs, conferences, seminars, retreats, etc. to strength individuals to fulfill God's purpose in their lives as it relates to the physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual well-being.
  • To develop and implement joint outreach programs which will meet the needs of particular areas, whether local, national or international.
  • To formulate outreach programs that will bring the unsaved into a personal knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • To establish a permanent forum for interaction between Partners and the Executive Staff, which will foster greater relationships and lead to committed financial support for this ministry.
  • To establish educational and counseling programs that will teach individuals how to move from needing help, to helping themselves as well as others.
  • To foster a positive working relationship with others in the community that will ultimately lead to a greater availability of different resources needed for individual growth.
